May 25 - Where are the leaves?
9:30-9:50 - Company #1: One blower across street (loud at 75 feet)- removing dirt on driveway, no leaves
9:30-10:30 - Company #2 (A) (simultaneously): blowers on adjacent property with a very loud rolling unit on tennis court at 25-150 feet - no visible leaves to remove; from my office window I see two of the workers throwing stones at three wild turkeys
NOTE: Not possible to talk comfortably indoors with windows or doors open (70 degree sunny day).
10:30-11:15 - Company #3 (B): Two more men operate blowers side by side two houses away; no evidence of leaves on the road they are 'cleaning'
May 27 - Saturday / back again
2:00-2:30 - Company #2 (C): One blower within 25-50 feet of my office blowing surface of newly seeded area
Oct 4 - Many times later ...
10:30-11:30 - Two machines simultaneously 30 ft away. Not many leaves on the ground.
QUESTION?
How many times a day do these events occur in Lincoln? Or in Massachusetts? Or nationally?
- Pollution impact (gas and dust in air)
- Noise impact (disturbance)
- Work hazard (no ear mufflers)
